Fonds consists of records of the United Nations Operation in Congo relating to its mandate, missions and operations. Records include correspondence, reports, cables, Registry and non-Registry files on various matters. Fonds is comprised of the following four sub-fonds:

Subjects include but are not limited to the following: prevention of civil war; photo reconnaissance; training pilots; objectives of ONUC; offensive air support; SARAH equipment for search and rescue missions; repatriation of ACT; reconnaissance by jet fighters; food supply; standard operating procedure for search and rescue missions; flight schedules; flying restrictions/safety; logistics and logistic requirements; and reports on missions, troop positions, UN operations, photo interpretation, daily debriefing, and radar. Correspondents include Dr. Ralph Bunche, Under Secretary for Special Political Affairs; General Kebbede Guebre, Force Commander; General Chr. R. Kaldager, Force Commander; and Major General G.L.
