Series consists of correspondence, reports, certificates, and incoming and outgoing clear cables. and provides information on ONUC's military involvement in the Congo including military history, policies, information on aircraft, reinforcements and withdrawal of troops, and regulations for the United Nations force. Military reports provide details on military conditions, health situations, military progress, and air missions. (Some reports contain civilian operation information, as well.) Files also contain information on and correspondence from military staff and high ranking officers such as General Sean Maceoin, Major-General Christian R. Kaldager, and Major-General C.C. Von Horn. This series also includes material, both military and civilian, on the Kamina, Kitona and Banana bases.

The "Summary of Events for 1963" contains information on the role of the United Nations on the training and reorganization of the Congolese National Army (A.N.C.).

Series consists of reports, press releases, correspondence, agreements for financial assistance, and incoming and outgoing clear cables relating to aspects of ONUC's civilian operations. The files include information on airlifts, the Congo Fund, ONUC fulfilling public health needs, recruitment, and relief efforts of the International Red Cross. Files also contain documentation on specialized agencies dealing with various issues of relief and normalization. These agencies included the International Monetary Fund which focused on currency unification in the Congo; agencies supporting telecommunication improvement, the World Health Organization, and the Universal Postal Union. Incidents include aircraft accidents such as a Rhodesian aircraft making a forced landing after being hit by small arms fire in Manono; an ONUC Commission report and other documentation regarding the Kindu Incident when thirteen Italian contingent air crew lost their lives due to an invasion of the Congolese National Army Soldiers in Kindu; and investigations into the death of Mme. Felicienne Dister who was killed at her home in Elisabethville. The series also includes incidents involving the Congolese National Army in Katanga and Elisabethville.
