Series consists of correspondence and memoranda, registers, newspaper clippings, clear and code cables, photographs, speeches, 1200 feet of radio broadcast tape documenting the Commemorative Service in Tog-Lome - 29 September 1961 and United Nations documents. Subjects cover public relations including speeches, press conferences and letters from the public attached to responses. Approximately 1.5 linear feet of records pertain to the death of Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjold including condolence registers sent from United Nations missions - 1961-1962. Correspondents include Secretaries-General Trygve Lie and Dag Hammarskjold; Leo Malania, Assistant to the Executive Assistant to the Secretary-General; Ralph Bunche, Under-Secretary-General - without a department; and W. Stoneman, Special Advisor to the Secretary-General.
