Series consists of reports, press releases, correspondence, agreements for financial assistance, and incoming and outgoing clear cables relating to aspects of ONUC's civilian operations. The files include information on airlifts, the Congo Fund, ONUC fulfilling public health needs, recruitment, and relief efforts of the International Red Cross. Files also contain documentation on specialized agencies dealing with various issues of relief and normalization. These agencies included the International Monetary Fund which focused on currency unification in the Congo; agencies supporting telecommunication improvement, the World Health Organization, and the Universal Postal Union.
