S-1041 is comprised of records pertaining to press conferences with the Secretary-General held at the United Nations headquarters and at international locations, Daily Press Briefings issued by the Department of Public Information, and messages and statements made by the Secretary-General. Series also contains records pertaining to the Centre for Human Rights, the Human Rights Committee and human rights in general.

Series documents confidential meetings held with various heads of state and foreign representatives. Records are primarily meeting minutes and other confidential notes.

S-1032 documents Secretary-General's correspondence with heads of state, diplomats, VIP's and friends including thank-you letters for 70th birthday, election/re-election wishes, and congratulations on Iran/Iraq cease fire. S-1031 contains invitations, congratulatory messages, thank you letters and holiday greetings sent to Secretary-General and Mrs. Perez de Cuellar during his two terms as Secretary-General of the United Nations, 1982-1991. The invitations are organized chronologically and are grouped according to invitations accepted, invitations regretted, and invitations having no action taken. S-1029 consists of records pertaining to disarmament, including records documenting the work of the United Nations Centre for Disarmament, the Department of Disarmament Affairs, the Committee on Disarmament, the United Nations Disarmament Commission, the Conference on Disarmament, Disarmament Week, the World Disarmament Campaign, the Ad Hoc Committee on Chemical Weapons, the Group of Experts on the Reduction of Military Budgets, and the Group of Experts on the Alleged Use of Chemical Weapons.

Additional subject files pertain to the Office of Personnel Services, the Advisory Group on Administrative Reform, the United Nations Staff Recreation Council, the Hospitality Committee for United Nations Delegations, the United Nations Child Care Centre, the International Civil Service Commission and the World Association of United Nations Interns and Fellows. Series also includes the files concerning the Secretary-General's annual reports, the United Nations financial crisis and records concerning the Nobel Peace Prize.
