Also documented are the efforts of the office of the High Commissioner for Refugees (HICOMREF) in resolving the refugee crisis during the civil strife in East Pakistan (1971), which led to the creation of Bangladesh. Bulk of the material dates from the 1960s through the 1970s and concerns the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP).
