Series consists of letters (mostly copies), clear cables, numbered code cables, Secretary-General draft reports, notes to the file, press clippings, press releases, speeches of the Secretary-General and United Nations documents. This series documents political incidents that took place between the Republic of the Ivory Coast and the Republic of Guinea in 1967, over the detention of two Guinearn diplomats in the Rpublic of the Ivory Coast. Correspondence includes: Jose Rolz-Bennett, Chef de Cabinet C.V. Narasimhan, Secretary-General U Thant, representatives of Guinea (including the President Ahmed Sekou Toure) and of the Ivory Coast, and the Special Representivates of the Secretary-General (including Pier P. Spinelli.)

A variety of issues, many of which are of a confidential nature, are described within the correspondence in considerable detail, including: military events in the State of Jammu and Kashmir, the application of the "cease-fire" agreement, activities of the Military Observers, and the assignments of the Military Observers. In addition to the Chief Military Observer (a few of whose letters are handwritten), other correspondents include: UNMOGIP officials, the head of UNRIP, the head of the Field Operations Service, the head of the Purchase and Transportataion Division, and the United States mission to the United Nations. Series contains material created prior to 1975 and accumulated as background information. Documented are UN relief and rehabilitation activities after the wars in the area have ended, such as relations with donor governments, resettlement of refugees, food provisions and assistance programs, personnel and policy issues. Series contains papers relating to Mekong River Development Project, including reference material, reports and publications on Lower Mekong Rivert Project, and correspondence, working papers, interim and final reports on Pa Mong Dam project. Series consists of personal workfiles of Sir Robert Jackson, reports by various UN and diplomatic officials, notes, minutes of meetings, plans and requirements for assistance and aid to Bangladesh and Pakistan, progress reports, press releases, newspaper clippings, photographs, invoices, letters, clear and code cables. Documented are flood relief and reconstruction in Pakistan, repatriation and resettlement of refugees in Pakistan and Bangladesh, development of agriculture and transportation, food shipments, and Chalna Port Shipwreck clearance. Documents created prior to 1972 relate to prior activities in the area and were accumulated as background information. Records created after 1974 contain correspondence related to residual funds from UNROB, staff and policy issues, reports on the continuation of food shipments. Series consists of letters relating to the UN Truce Supervision Operation's (UNTSO) assignment and administration of military observers (UNMO) of each participating country (or Military Contingent) such as assignment to UN Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) and Tours of Duty. Series also contains pouch lists with correspondence listed by date and country. Correspondence is between Andrew Cordier of the Secretary-general's office, Ralph Bunche, Roberto Guyer, F.T. Liu, and Brian Urquhart of the Office for Special Political Affairs and with top UNTSO echelon staff such as Chiefs of Staff E.L.M. Burns, William Riley, Carl C. von Horn, and Bengt Liljestrand, and also with the permanent representatives of the countries providing observers for UNSTO.
