Series consists of a log entitled "UNMOGIP reports on complaints and violations" consisting of cease-fire and border violations alleged by India or Pakistan about the other (typescript). Information includes complaint particulars and the Chief Military Observer's decisions on whether a violation had in fact occurred. Reports dated 1949-1957 are initialled by H. R. Nimmo, the Chief Military Observer. Until 1958 the log was filed in two binders (with custom-printed covers); thereafter, log pages were not necessarily filed together. Some reports from 1959-1960 and from 1964 were interfiled, some of them formatted as correspondence, with series 13 - 'Incident files relating to UNMOGIP.' Arranged chronologically.

Series consists of correspondence, reports, and meeting summary records of the Conciliation Commission for the Congo.

The records detail the Conciliation Commission's main responsibilities which consisted of the study of the situation in the Congo and the promotion of conciliation between opposing political groups in the Republic. Minutes discuss the processes involved in strengthening the unity, territorial integrity, and political independence of the Congo within the consititutional and legal framework of the Republic. The Commission's members included representatives from Ethiopia, Liberia, Morrocco, Pakistan, Senegal, Sudan, and Tunisia and Jaja A. Wachuku of Nigeria as President.

Series consists of correspondence relating to civilian operations and civilian affairs in the Congo. These files originated from the offices of Special Assistant for Congo Civilian Operations Gustavo Duran and Special Advisor for Civilian Affairs in the Congo Sir Alexander MacFarquhar. Records are divided into CUNCO (Chief, United Nations Civilian Operations) and COCA (Civilian Affairs in the Congo) sections. Cables provide information on the Congolese budget, siutations of personnel, project submissions in various fields such as communications, financial issues, appointments, food production, public works program, proposed tour of youth leaders to Romania and France, fellowships, budget analysis, and a quarterly report by World Health Organization Administrative Advisors. Correspondents include Chief of the United Nations Civilian Operations Sture Linner, Chief of Civilian Operations in the Congo M. Khiary, Executive Officer for the Congo Fund J. Series consists of reports, incoming and outgoing clear cables, correspondence, briefing papers, press conference transcripts, press releases, itineraries, and notes from meetings relating to Ralph Bunche's trips to the Congo during the spring/summer of 1960, fall 1962, and winter 1963. During these trips, Bunche represented the Secretary-General or acted as a consultant during the decolonization process. Correspondents include Under-Secretary for Special Political Affairs Ralph Bunche, Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjold, and Congolese Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba.

Records consist primarily of correspondence to the Special Representative from the Royal Government of Cambodia at Phnom-Penh, and the government of Thailand in Bangkok, each reporting on and complaining about aggressive incidents perpetrated by the other.

Also included are translations into English of Radio Cambodia news reports about Thailand, with related correspondence from Thailand complaining about Cambodian radio and press slurs; some miscellaneous correspondence, maps, and clippings; and a two volume diary, 1963-1964, briefly recording daily events from the mission's Bangkok office.

Series consists of correspondence, incoming and outgoing cables, code cables, press clippings, maps, photographs, diaries, lists, translations, and radio information.

Subjects include but are not limited to the following: list of Thai Nationals applying for identity cards; pouch schedule; arrests for illegal entries into Thailand; prisoners; volunteer defense corps in Cambodia and livestock capture.
