Also included are espionage case files, 1968-1971; reports on elections, 1954-1971, and various committee minutes, agendas, and rules of procedure; press releases; reports, and radio and television interviews.

Files of the Research Department, 1953-1973, contain reports, monthly, fortnightly, and weekly summaries of developments; press releases; minutes; working papers; and United Nations and UNCURK resolutions. Registry files, 1956-1974, contain correspondence, cables, reports, staff lists, accounts, and other documents relating to the administration of UNCURK.

Records include registry files, 1950-1960, containing correspondence, memos, reports, and many other types of documents concerning all aspects of the United Nations Korean Reconstruction Agency; also project files, 1952-1960, containing correspondence, project agreements, lists of required supplies generated by UNKRA's establishment of projects in the areas of food and agriculture, rural resettlement, transportation, communications, education, health, sanitation and welfare, natural resources, housing, technical assistance, and other projects. Also included are files concerning personnel, finances, and other matters having to do with the administration of UNKRA, 1951-1960, and containing correspondence, legal documents, minutes, accounts, and photographs. Historical files, 1951-1960, were assembled in order to write a history of UNKRA, and contain examples of the types of documents mentioned, as well as drafts of a history of UNKRA. It contains PAG-4/3.0, subseries (3.0) Registry Files; (2) Project Files; (3.1) General Administration Non-Registry Files; (3.2) General Administration Photos; (4) Personnel Office Non-Registry Files; (4.1) Finance Office Non-Registry Files; (4.2) Finance Office Ledgers; (5) Historical Files.

Records consist of the files of United Nations Commissioner, Adrian Pelt, 1949-1951, and the files of the United Nations Tribunal in Libya, 1951-1955. Pelt's files contain correspondence, reports, including reports and correspondence to the Secretary-General, budgets, minutes, cables, press releases, working papers, and background data on Libya.

These concern the Advisory Council in Libya, Tripolitania, Cyrenaica, and Fezzan, technical assistance, administration of the Commission, protocol, matters relating to the transfer of power to the Libyan government, the Libyan National Assembly, and miscellaneous other matters.

Of note are correspondence to, from, and about representatives to the Advisory Council in Libya, whose job it was to advise the Commissioner, concerning their appointments; and correspondence from groups in Tripolitania, Fezzan, Cyrenaica, France, and Britain concerning their views of the new government, including the Tripolitanian Greek, Maltese, and Jewish minority groups.

Records of the United Nations Tribunal in Libya consist of rules, credentials, correspondence, minutes, memoranda, and instructions concerning the origin, function, and administration of the Tribunal, and case files, 1954.

Records consist mostly of correspondence and cables, primarily of Gunnar Jarring, who was in charge of the United Nations Middle East Mission (UNMEM), to United Nations Headquarters, the Palestine Democratic Front, and others concerning refugees, and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Sharm-el-Sheikh, 1969; and other matters pertaining to the Mission's task of assisting efforts towards peaceful settlement in the Middle East.

Also included are press releases, reports, working papers, memoranda, meeting notes, and an appointments calendar, 1969-1973.

Records consist primarily of correspondence and cables, 1965-1966, between Chief Officer Bruce F. Macdonald, United Nations Headquarters in New York, the United Nations Liaison Office in New Delhi, the Indian and Pakistani delegations, the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP), the Indian and Pakistani armies, and others concerning military and political matters in the area.

Of note are Macdonald's letters reporting on the situation to Ralph J. Bunche, Under-Secretary for Special Political Affairs at United Nations Headquarters. Also included are reports, 1965-1966, including daily incident and weekly situation reports, summaries and statistics of complaints and investigations, and the Secretary-General's reports on the cease-fire and troop withdrawals.

Correspondence, memoranda, accounts, reports, contracts, and agreements concerning personnel matters, accommodations, procurement of equipment and supplies, and other matters relating to the logistics of running UNIPOM are included.

These files are divided about equally between those of the Special Assistant to the Personal Representative of the Secretary-General, and general departmental (non-registry) files, 1947.

Files contain correspondence, memos, reports, working papers, minutes of the United Nations Special Committee on Palestine (UNSCOP) and its sub-committees, press releases, clippings, accounts, maps, and photographs.

These concern UNSCOP's work in helping to resolve conflicting claims concerning the Holy Places, the partition of Palestine, and other matters that arose following the end of the British Mandate, as well as the administrative matters of UNSCOP.

Correspondents include the Arab Higher Committee; Jewish Agency for Palestine; the British government; various Arab governments; the government of Palestine; and many other Jewish and Arab individuals and political, religious, educational, and other organizations in the Middle East, America, and Europe. Of note are ca. 4 cubic ft. (3.3 linear ft.) of memoranda, and written statements and testimonies submitted to UNSCOP by governments and organizations; and a notebook containing Personal Representative of the Secretary- General Ralph Bunche's notes on meetings.

Also included are reference materials, in the form of books, pamphlets, and maps.

UNAMIC's head of mission and senior military liaison officer later served as UNTAC's political adviser to the SRSG and deputy force commander, respectively. As such, some UNTAC records also are found within the UNTAC fonds (AG-007).
