Series consists of general memoranda and letters relating to the establishment and functions of the Library Advisory Committee, minutes of Committee Meetings 1946-1951. Series also contains documents on the donation of the J. H. Ralston Library Collection to the U.N. Library in 1953, including the transfer agreement and inventory of books.

Series contains chronological files, incoming and outgoing correspondence, notes and working papers for the Department of Political and Security Council Affairs, personal documents, such as drafts of speeches, curriculum vitae, travel arrangements and immigration papers. Also documented are the activities relating to the International Cooperation Year - ICY, such as meetings of the ICY Preparatory Committee, statements by various UN and diplomatic officials, participant information, news clippings and brochures.

UN. Executive Assistant to the Secretary-General - 1946-1961: Cordier

Series consists of minutes of meetings, membership lists, resolutions and reports of the General Assembly relating to the United Nations Committee on United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration - UNRRA, memoranda, letters and cablegrams on contributions to UNRRA and UN-UNRRA relations. The Committee was created in spring of 1946, to facilitate the final stages of UNRRA work and the generation of additional contributions. Also included are Nos. 52 and 58 of The Journal of The United Nations.
