Series consists of Jose Rolz-Bennett's set of numbered and unnumbered code cables, some marked "only", regarding the 1965 conflicts in India and Pakistan and the two observer missions in the area, the UN Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) dating from 1948 and the UN India-Pakistan Observer Mission (UNIPOM) newly established in response to the crisis. Documented are Mission operations such as daily "incident" updates, and weekly "situation reports" and some administration such as staff assignments and budget concerns. Correspondents include Under-Secretary-General Ralph Bunche, Jose Rolz-Bennett, various United Nations officials including Secretary-General U Thant (while in New Delhi), Major-General B. In particular, records relate to the implementation of Security Council resolutions upon Ian Smith's government in Southern Rhodesia for armed aggression against the Republic of Zambia. Also included are records related to Lieutenant General Prem Chand's mission to Southern Rhodesia as well as Zimbabwe's admission as a member state of the United Nations (1980). Series consists of administrative files of Jose Antonio Mayobre, Representative of the Secretary-General in the Dominican Republic (Repdom), established in 1965 by S/RES/203 (1965).

Records consist mostly of subject files containing primarily correspondence and reports, drafts of reports, cables, and press releases.
These concern the responsibilities of the Reporting Mission of the Representative of the Secretary-General in the Dominican Republic; incidents; visits to prisons by United Nations teams; elections; the cease-fire, 1965, and reports from United States forces of cease-fire violations; and human rights violations.

Some correspondence is with United Nations Headquarters.
Also included are United Nations Security Council reports, resolutions, and other documents concerning the Dominican Republic;

Series consists of Jose Rolz-Bennett's reference set of minutes of meetings no. 252-607 (inclusive) of the Political Liaison Committee in Cyprus (copies). Meetings were divided into military affairs: topics including fortifications and military incidents; and civilian affairs: topics including freedom of movement, water supplies, agriculture, and property. Meetings were held in Nicosia. Present were UN Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) top echelon (including Colonel W. W. Turner, Deputy Chief of Staff; and G.L. Sherry, Senior Political Advisor) and a Political Liaison Officer from either the Cyprus government (Chr. Kythreutis) or the Turkish Cypriots (A.M. Berberoglu or Umit Suleiman).
