Series consists of correspondence, press releases, and incoming and outgoing clear cables regarding the cooperation of various foreign governments with the United Nations efforts in the Congo. This support involved both military and civilian operations and included both the reinforcement of United Nations troops and airlifts of relief supplies. The files also contain information on investigations into missing aircraft (Italy); the need for English and French speaking officers (Ireland); information regarding the Nigeria/Mali airlift; issues surrounding the transfer of military forces to civilian status (Pakistan); the Congo's embargo on exports from South Katanga (Portugal); expulsion of Sudanese refugees from the Stanleyville area; and expulsion of the Soviet embassy staff (U.S.S.R.). This series also includes files on the cities of Gaza and Jerusalem. Series consists of Jose Rolz-Bennett's set of numbered and unnumbered code cables, some marked "only", regarding the 1965 conflicts in India and Pakistan and the two observer missions in the area, the UN Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) dating from 1948 and the UN India-Pakistan Observer Mission (UNIPOM) newly established in response to the crisis. Documented are Mission operations such as daily "incident" updates, and weekly "situation reports" and some administration such as staff assignments and budget concerns. Executive Assistant to SG (1946-1961: Cordier)

Series contains cables, correspondence, reports, photographs, and maps related to activities of Hashemite Jordan Kingdom-Israel Mixed Armistice Commission (HJK-I-MAC). Commission set up to resolve minor incidents between Jordan and Israel over border crossings, overflights by aircraft, illegal cultivation, etc. Much of the correspondence is between UNTSO (responsible for control of the various MAC's) and UN headquarters, but some is also between Jordan or Israel and UNTSO or UN headquarters. Also contains investigation files undertaken by UN military observers (UNMO) which include photographs and written reports of the incidents. Series also contains files on Mt. Scopus in Jerusalem, which was under the authority of the HJK-I-MAC chairman.
