Additional title information: 'Ready for the first stage of their journey home, young and old smile happily as they wait for the trucks that will take them across the Sinai desert, on the fringe of which they have lived, in UNRRA's refugee camp El Shatt, since they arrived as war exiles from Yugoslavia 15 months ago. In this picture, there is a 70-year old Granny Maritza Bovitulovic, of Makarska, Yugoslavia, the oldest in the contingent; and 65-year old Mande Sidic, with her little grandson, Ante.
