Project files of the Water Resources Branch
Series consists of documents relating to the identification, formulation, implementation and appraisal of technical assistance projects in water resources exploration, development and management.
Formulation documents comprise primarily project documents and country requests stating justifications, objectives and financial arrangements. Related documents include project agreements and plans of operation.
Implementation and appraisal documents comprise progress reports, mission reports, technical reports, evaluation reports and terminal reports.
Departmental supporting documents comprise background data, guidelines, studies, terms of reference and other relevant papers that bear elements further elucidating project activities.
A small segment of records comprise tripartite review reports relating to meetings among representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Department of Technical Co-operation for Development (TCD) and recipient governments. Reports are authored by UNDP resident representatives.
Projects include coastal engineering, hydrological surveys, improvement of river navigation, sewage design, development of power and irrigation systems, and technical and managerial training.
