Series consists of photo albums, newspaper clippings, building models plans relating to the planning of Headquarters site. The historical material,was received at from the estate of Mr. Serge M. Wolff who appears to have been a translator for the Russian architect, Mr. N.D. Bassov. Mr. Wolff eventually worked in the Headquarters Planning Office in Rockefeller Centre and compiled this personal and fascinating first-hand documentation of the beginnings of the United Nations and the early planning which led to the construction of the U.N. Headquarters complex in New York City.
