Scope and content

Series consists of a log entitled "UNMOGIP reports on complaints and violations" consisting of cease-fire and border violations alleged by India or Pakistan about the other (typescript). Information includes complaint particulars and the Chief Military Observer's decisions on whether a violation had in fact occurred. Reports dated 1949-1957 are initialled by H. R. Some reports from 1959-1960 and from 1964 were interfiled, some of them formatted as correspondence, with series 13 - 'Incident files relating to UNMOGIP.' Arranged chronologically.
