Series consists of clear cables, military staff lists, situation reports, SOPs, lists of military officers (South Lebanon), correspondence of the Secretary General, requests for purchases, service efficiency reports, incident reports and country files documenting the progress of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO). Subjects include the Bedouin buffer zone; the Egyptian surveillance station; incidents in South Lebanon; scheduled flights; the armistice demarcation line; ILMAC (Israel-Lebanese Mixed Armistice Commission; the Suez sector; Operation Mike (OPMIKE); Operation Charlie (OPCHARLIE); and the papal visit of 1963. Correspondence includes exchanges between Secretary-General Kurt Waldheim and then president of the Security Council Mansur Rashid Kikhin. Other correspondents include Military Liason Officer L. Koho; Under-Secretary-General for Special Political Affairs R. J. Bunche; and UNTSO Chief of Staff O. Bull.
Subjects of photographs found in this series include Egyptian prisoners and guards, shell damage and ruined UN vehicles.
