Administrative history

The United Nations Yemen Observation Mission (UNYOM) was responsible for observing and reporting on the situation in Yemen. Piero P. Spinelli was the Special Representative of the General- Secretary in Yemen. The Mission lasted from November 1963 to September 1964.

Included are correspondence, cables, reports, weekly operations summaries, and miscellaneous other documents concerning political and military matters, complaints and investigations, and the administration of the United Nations Yemen Observation Mission (UNYOM). Similar documents from the United Nations Liaison Offices in Cairo, El Kuba/Gizan, Gizan, Harad, Hodeida, Jeddah, Hajran, and Sada are included.
